Red face HELP! Baseband downgrade or Anysim 1.2.1 PLEASE HELP ME!

To cut the story short I accidentally upgraded my currently unlocked 1.0.2 iphone to 1.1.2, then with some know how was able to downgrade to 1.1.1, then performed the SOP activation/jailbreak/anysim 1.1 everything was going pretty smooth but when i get to the anysim part. i keep getting the message that this phone cannot be unlocked. im def. sure that this is due to my baseband being currently at 04.02.13_G. so from what i understand, i now have to downgrade my baseband to 3.14.08 via baseband downgrade in the installer.app
the confusing part is ive now come across the revised version of anysim v. 1.2.1 which is now able to unlock v1.1.1 w. baseband 04.02.13_G? I really need your input guys as Im all new to this. Also i was able to download anysim 1.2.1 but don't have a clue on how to get it on my phone as it is in the form of .zip file. Ive also tried to look for it in the installer.app but currently only the 1.1 version of anysim is availble.

Sir bechao, I would strongly recommend that you upgrade to 1.1.2 since having a hybrid setup (1.1.1 firmware, 4.02.13_G baseband) may lead to stability problems. Since you're already on 1.1.1, all you have to do is: 1)run OktoPrep; 2)upgrade to 1.1.2; 3)activate/jailbreak on 1.1.2; 4)run anySIM 1.2.1u while on Airplane Mode; and 5)replace the AppSupport file with the one provided by Sir DarkCast.

add this source to the installer so that you can get Anysim in the installer. i.unlock.no

DarkCast's 1.1.2 hacks are here. That includes the AppSupport file and other stuff.

still stuck in a rut here, to my frustration, i decided to experiment and went ahead with the Baseband downgrader then after that ran anysim 1.1. which then displayed the message phone is now unlocked. I then resetted the iphone but am getting no signal, although im no longer getting sim error messages. at least im making some progress, but im quite ready to throw in the towel and will just have to hand this over to the pros before i do more damage. what do you guys suggest? is there a way for me to start on a clean slate.

i've resurrected numerous bricked units using the following procedure:

    restore to 1.1.1
kick it out of restore mode using the latest independence
    jailbreak using appsnapp
    add i.unlock.no in installer sources
    virginize baseband
    update to 1.1.2
restore back to 1.1.1, then use independence again
    jailbreak using appsnapp
    install BSD
    install anySIM 1.2.1u
    run anySIM
    install oktoprep
    update to 1.1.2

wow! thanks for the prompt response guys. although there are contradicting elements on both of your instructions, ill have to follow hannibals words first as his avatar commands greater authority. wouldnt want to mess with that guy. hehe. ill try this tommorow morningwhen i get back to the office. seems pretty straightforward even for a noob like me, but i need further elaboration of hannibals instruction which is to "kick it out of restore mode via independence", i have the latest version of independence. and one more thing do i have to download the 1.1.2 FW or can i just update it on itunes which i think will automatically revert it to this version. hope everything works out as im planning to sell the phone here once i unlock it. btw, anyone here interested? its near mint condish as i installed screen protectors on the front and rear since day one, although there are light scuffs on the chrome bezel. nyways, ill update u guys tommorow. thanks again

after the restore to 1.1.1 (you'll get an error 1015), just quit itunes and launch independence. you don't have to do anything except wait for independence to do its job. once done, you'll read the details of your FW version and activation/jailbreak status at the bottom part of independence's window.

quit it, then proceed as stated above.
