I have one stuck pixel, but the iPhone has such fine pixel pitch that I only noticed it a few months into ownership, and even now I can't see it unless I look hard.

Same here, I have one dead/stuck pixel which isn't really obvious unless you stare at it. Just don't know the difference of a dead or stuck pixel.

A stuck pixel is at times recoverable with a light massage over the affected area. A dead pixel is not as it is a manifestation of defect in the LCD circuit. When it comes to the iPhone, the glass panel will prevent you from massaging the stuck pixel. So a stuck pixel in this case is as good as a dead pixel.

There is said to be a fix for stuck -- not dead -- pixels. Head to http://www.ebaspace.com/iphone-app/ on your iPhone's Safari browser.
Or
You can try to run Nick Toohill's PSP Stuck Pixel Fixer, which is an MP4 video file and can be downloaded from http://www.psp-vault.com/Article168.psp.
Hope this helps. :-)

i heard before that screens like the iphone and psp's, theyre never perfect. like if u look hard enough, ull find at least 1 tiny one. with the 10 iphones i had, i was able to check 8 of them and all of them had at least 1 tiny one. but mind you, i only saw them if i looked REALLY hard, when the screens were all black and by tilting the phone in different angles with no light.

I heard from a friend that Apple Inc changed suppliers for their LCD for the iPhone, thats why the iPhone is more prone to dead/stuck pixel now than before. Is this true? I am not really sure when did they change suppliers though. Never really heard of it neither read about it in the net.... parang PSP na before its Samsung then naging sharp or something like that....on the PSP you can fix stuck pixel by playing a video or some sort that will help the screen display different colors just like exercising. Sinasanay nya yung screen. It works on my PSP before sana pwde din sa iPhone. Let me try and find it, maybe it will work.

Sir John Clark, check my previous post on this thread. The PSP video you mention can be downloaded from the link I provided.

I think its normal in any portable gadgets that use LCD. My iPhone has a tiny one, barely noticeable unless you put pure black backgrounds.
