Globe unleashes iPhone 3G plans! Launch date Aug 22! (merged)

Just wanted to share muggers, not to brag, but luckily i have been invited to be a part of only a handful of journalists to attend a Globe Investors Briefing this Wednesday...

Topics to be discussed will include the plans for the iPhone....

I got permission from my source to whet your/our appetites that we will finally get a clue or hopefully more than just a clue this week!

I will be posting it here live as i try to contain myself in my seat on Wednesday....

Btw, one reason why my source chose me, aside from being a part of abs-cbn and anc, my source mentioned that they like what they hear and read from Philumg and consider the group to be very trend-leading and influential! i keep forwarding them kasi any threads that we have on iPhone 3G and Globe and they are (unofficialy) very appreciative of what they hear/read from us =)

i am hoping Globe will not come up with ridiculous plans for the iPhone and that they will bundle all iPhone plans with unlimited 3G/data access.

Thanks for updating us. Is it true that there are only 125 handsets for the first shipment? I heard it on the news the other night.

wow great news...although i might not get one asap, the prospect of finally releasing it here locally is trully a welcome thing...hopefully this will force google to finally UPDATE their maps for us here...
