IPhone is still clearly the superior phone. but googles's open structure and deep pockets will make it a worthy competitor in the future.

I played with my co-worker's G1 yeaterday and I must say that it is the current Iphone best competitor in the market. However, it is not as slick and as good looking as the Iphone. Competitors are good in a way it is good for us consumers. With more competitors are coming to compete with Iphone the better and more suffisticated phones will come out on the market.

Kinda dumb not to include a QWERTY keyboard on the screen. Imagine having to flip open the phone everytime you have to type a text message, or search for a contact...

5 patches in 4.5 hours after its release, thats the biggest difference in android and apple. Apple is not that open compared to the android software.
Bottom line is, android's future depends on its "outside developers".

Seen the HTC phone thats carrying the android, looks good but its prehistoric if you compare it side by side with the iphone. But the software? who knows maybe it will beat the iphone. Lets just hope whats best for us customers.

I'm beginning to believe that apple has some worthy opponent (thanks to google) it really depends now on how apple takes google, in the end apple might become a victim of its own success
