Fix iphone in CEBU

i'm also a newbie but i was able to jailbreak my 1.1.2 otb, installed my own x-sim III card and installed some apps.

i'm in cebu. maybe i can help.

Its more than just jailbreaking.... My cousin's iphone doesnt connect to his mac through usb but when he connects it to the charger it works.

try using the dock and see if it works

on a brighter side, we can test his iphone on a PC and see if it syncs to itunes. if it does, then the problem is with the mac configuration. if it doesn't, then the problem is with the iphone.
