Do you turn off your Iphone?
do you turn it off or just let it be in sleep mode? It got me thinking since I always leave it on sleep mode
. Turning it off would conserve battery life and would it be better for the phone?

Re: Do you turn off your Iphone?
Nope. First and foremost, it's my cellphone. I always have my cellphone on.
If you don't need it on all the time though, of course turning it off would affect battery longevity.

Yeah I since its a cellphone, its always on unless you don't want to receive calls which if were the case I'd switch to Airplane Mode.

nope i don't turn off my iphone or my htc when I go to sleep in the evening. I only turn it off or switch it to airplane mode when I'm inside an airplane and switch it to silent if im in the theatres or in places that I need to switch my phone to silent. it also serves as my alarm clock

no. it goes to sleep after a minute of being idle. I just turn off the wifi to conserve the battery power

Re: Do you turn off your Iphone?
Turning it off defeats the purpose of the iPhone being a phone... unless you don't want to be reached. But even when it's on standby, it's still very useful as an alarm clock... or a webserver even, if you install apache and use JohnTool to keep the WiFi connection up.
Like cyberprince said, Airplane Mode can do that for you. The only time when I slide the red button to power off the phone is when I'm tinkering with it and I need to reboot it (Typing 'reboot' in the Terminal also works).

Re: Do you turn off your Iphone?
Ok, usually kasi I don't get calls from say 11pm - 7am so I am thinking of turning it off to conserve battery and say system restart every day. I usually leave it on but the thought just cross my mind yesterday.
