Do you fill up your iPod
To the 40GB owners, are you able to fill it all the way up?

I am wondering too. Mine is only 10 GB but after two years, I still have 2 Gb to fill up with. With 40 GB, wow... that's a lot of music indeed.

i just filled up mine, after about 3 months since i bought my 3g 40gb ipod. and i still have lots and lots of cds that i wanted to rip. it was quite a transition going from auto sync to playlist/manual sync. i also use the ipod to store photos from my location photo shoots using the belkin media recorder and to record audio of meetings and interviews using the belkin microphone attachment. i will definitely be a candidate for a 60gb ipod.

Re: Do you fill up your iPod
I hate clutter, so I have a tendency to delete songs and albums I don't really like (less undesirable songs to sift through when in shuffle mode), so I never seem to fill up my ipod.
But I think with the introduction of the Video ipod, and the succeeding video-capable ipods, it has become to easy to fill up the provided hd space.
When I was using the 4gb Mini, it seemed like I never fully utilized the 4gb capacity. But now with my 8gb Nano 3G, it's almost full already, half with my music, the other half with video podcasts and movies.
Which leads us once again to the folly of the 16GB ipod Touch. Chances are, if you're buying the Touch, the primary purpose is for video-watching. 16GB is way plenty for music, but for videos, it just isn't going to cut it.

Re: Do you fill up your iPod
question (somewhat basic),
my macbook's hd is only 80gb and half of it is already used up by the OS and applications.
if i wanted to fill up the 160gb ipod classic with music and videos, will i need to buy a new hard disk?

Re: Do you fill up your iPod
In your iTunes, check 'Manually manage music and videos' under iPod options. This way, you don't need to store the mp3 files in your Macbook as long as you have it on your iPod.

Not yet...and far from it since I don't load videos into my iPod. I filled up a little more than 8gig out of the 30gig space.
