Default Differences between iPod Photos and new iPods with color screen

Apart from the hard drive capacity, is there any material difference between the NEW iPod 20GB with color screen, iPod Photo 30GB, iPod Photo 40GB, iPod 60GB with color screen?

I'm guessing the unit thickness and longer battery life. Those are constantly improving on every update.

Not sure if the speed of the interface is affected (since they never say if they used faster processors or not), but it would be a nice bonus.

As for the "usage" in general, I'd say nothing much hehehe. So the answer to the "implied" question that is raised would be: NO. It is not a worthwhile upgrade if you already have an ipod photo.

As far as the new 60GB is concerned, none at all, except that the word 'photo' will no longer appear on the back of the unit or on the box. The box contains the same accessories (earbuds, USB AC adapter, USB cable).

BTW, the 40GB photo is still around, priced at P23,900 (the current price of the 30GB), but better than the 30GB, it comes with the following extras: dock, FW cable, carrying case and AV cable. It is being bundled with a free silicone case too.

Hi Carlo, nice 'guesses', unfortunately, on the thickness and battery life, you're way off.

FYI, the 60GB is not an upgrade at all, but the 20GB (U2 included) is. Of course, that's a worthwhile upgrade. B/W versus color? Same price? No brainer.

The new units will be coming in within the next few weeks. Pricing will be released later in the day.

Hi Elbert! Where did you see the 40GB photo? I was planning to get a 30GB this week. But if it's the same price, might as well get the 40GB. Thanks!
