difference between 80GB iPod video and lower models

Another newbie question, what would be the difference with the 5.5 gen, planning to get one next week, how would you know your getting the latest any marks from the box or the unit ?

Difference between the 5.5 gen and... what model? The lower 5gen? AFAIK, the HD capacity is the only difference. I think the 30gig model is also thicker with regards to form factor or so I've heard.

My 80G iPod's performance has been nothing but great. My only peeve with the whole iPod video series is that clicking between menus is slow and lags. Other than that, no regrets.

thanks for the reply, yup its between 5 gen and 5.5 gen sorry forgot to mention, even with the box and unit and even accessories that comes with the unit has no indications of difference ?

that's one thing i noticed with the box, 5th gens still have bono.

5.5 gen also has brighter screen. the 80G model should be (almost?) same thickness as the 5th gen 60G (which i have).
