damaged .ipsw file?

window xp and itunes 7.4.3.1

i download fw file xxx.ipsw from Apple official site(appldnld.apple.com.edgesuit.net).
so i think this file is secured and safe and perfect.

but i always get error message from iTunues whenever i update my iphone from fw1.0.2 to 1.1.1 or restore 1.0.2 to 1.0.2

try it so many times but its failed of updating or restoring always.

so i wanna check if this files are perfect or not...

1. remame xx.ipsw to xxx.zip
2. do unzip xx.zip file --> i get error message (CRC error of 3 DMG files)

this means....did i download wrong xxx.ipsw file?

try redownloading the file..
it will usually give you an error upon downgrading from 1.1.1. to 1.0.2 though..
well maybe it did give you an error upgrading to 1.1.1 coz you havent succesfully downgraded to 1.0.2
