Current iPhone owners: What if a 3G iPhone is announced tomorrow?

Hello guys,
I was browsing my usual websites and came upon this.

Basically it says that a 3G iPhone might be annouced for the European market.

Now, being that I just got one a few days ago, I'd be a little p!ssed. Would I sell my current unit at a loss and upgrade, keep my current one, or end up owning both??? Just a few more hours till the announcement...

Well, on a Globe account, it wouldn't make much difference to me. EDGE or 3G, either type of data is expensive at Globe's current rates and I'd much rather wait to get to a WiFi hotspot to surf and download email.

For Smart users, however, it becomes quite attractive (i.e. assuming the P10/30 min rate still holds).

Never tried 3G before so I cannot comment for now...am more excited with WCDMA

Its nice to have, 3G i mean, I have two 3G phones, but on a day to day basis I have rarely used it to make video calls, in fact I keep it off entirely. And as Vic points out, HSDPA charges are too currently too expensive.

wont be bothered at all,,, we all know that we got the first model iphone even if we were deprived by the apple/att bundle our guys still made it work for us...... nothing like the first

it doesn't matter! I love the iphone.. and if they'll be releasing a 2.0.. next year.. I'll be getting that too!

Just checked the Apple online store. They are "busy updating and will be back soon." Oh man, I feel new products from Apple coming soon....
