I don't know if I understood you right but in iTunes got to Preferences>Audio disable crossfade playback. Of course this would only work if there are no gaps in the original file. Otherwise you have to edit youe songs in Quicktime or similar apps to take out the gaps. Bear in mind that big song file eat up more battery power.

Peter, doesn't the crossfade apply only to playback using iTunes?
Zedd, hadn't noticed this phenomenon until I read your post. I guess it's more noticable with "medleys" that are separated into several tracks. So far, it's only crowd noise that's interrupted in my live albums.

Please show some basic decorum when replying. Remember that due to the nature of online forums, a side comment meant to be a harmless joke can easily be interpreted as being rude.
Proper use of English / Tagalog would also be appreciated.
Thanks

I think the simplest solution is to re-rip the tracks using iTunes. Select all the CD tracks, go to the Advanced menu and click on "Join CD Tracks" before ripping. This will result in a single big-a*s MP3 file. :-)
Or use Quicktime Pro to take out the gaps like Peter suggested (more time-consuming and complicated). Then merge all the relevant MP3s to make one big-a*s and continuous MP3 file. ;-)

Oo nga no. Got a little confused there. Could you check if this would work with the iPod. Mines kaput and still don't have the dough to get myself the photopod.

Unfortunately, disabling the crossfade has no effect on the gap between songs.
zedd, looks like you'll have to re-rip that live album

to kelvin: yes. sorry for my lack of manners when replying. I thank you for that.
to the problem of the "gaps", the only solution i can think of to put the songs together to eliminate the gaps is for you to make a one very large file using windows movie maker or any movie editing or audio editing software (i'm not sure if nero has a feature that puts songs together to make "medley-like"
. that's it... you have no gaps in your song but you have one very large file which dangerously eats your ipod's power. .. as i hace said on my previous reply.
good day to you all.
