clicking the sms icon leads to home (merged)

I just received a sms that looked like hyroglyphics. Then, I tried openin sms but everytime I open it tries to start up and goes to white screen but after a few seconds it goes back to the homepage!

Help! My version is still the first 1.1. What do you suggest I do to fix this?

PS. Is it ok to use the restore function in the itunes software or will it lock my phone

Hi,

I received a text a few minutes ago and when I try to open it using SMS, it goes back to HOME. Now, I don't know what happened to the phone and everytime I tap on the SMS button, it always goes back to HOME.

Do you know what's happening in here?

this has been talked before. you are on 1..0.2 right? you recieve a sms from a non numeric sender. all you can do is either delete the sms.db or install smsd and delete the message from there.

its in the installer. you can install that if your connected to wifi or you have you edge on.

you just received an sms not supported by iphone version. try deleting it through smsd or wetool perhaps.

Yes it is. Everytime you start installer.app, it should refresh available resources and application that you can tap and install on your iPhone.
