About LinkBacksFirst it was Labrynth, then Camera Pro, now Caterpillar
A friend emailed this to me and I'm just sharing this here. Works on my 1.1.4
Don't restore if touchscreen does not work. Simply ssh to your phone and install respring app.
Respring app is the solution to the touchscreen not responding.
So, here we go:
1. Add Installer source http://repository.ripdev.com/ and install Caterpillar from the category RiP Dev.
2. Start Caterpillar from springboard and wait for activation request.
3. Close the application by presing HOME button.
4. Go to the Installer and add new Source - http://sephone.nm.ru/ripdev.xml
5. In Installer from folder RIPDev install R.I.P. Dev
6. Start Caterpillar (or any other RIPDev product) again, and click Install.
Application will ask to reboot - make it so.
Thats all, folks! You can use any RIPDev product with this method!
Note: If touch screen does not responds after installing this, just use the respring app.

Re: Caterpillar Free Can't update, it says my frimware is too old (1.0.2) but then again, I don't see any app that would compell me to upgrade my iPhone just yet.
