can you delete songs on iPhone without iTune?

my friend got an used iPhone sent from US,
contains full of songs, she don't wants to sync to her iTune then delete the songs she don't wants.

is there a way to delete the songs on iPhone before sync to iTune so it wont flood the iTune library?

Don't know much about this, but I think the iPhone songs will be deleted if you sync it with another iTunes.

well if you have MAC you can download opd work then copy you musics first to you HD

then you can format your iphones music then transfer the musics from your local disk

AFAIK, wildcard is right. Your iTunes library is the source of music in your iPhone, and not the other way around.

The only way you can transfer music from your iPhone to your iTunes library is if you use third-party software. A straight sync with iTunes will wipe out music in your iPhone that came from another computer.

try Senuti and download all the current songs into a particular folder. Then just add that folder to your current itunes library then sync it back to the phone.

If your going to sync the iphone to her computer automatically it will delete all the songs on the iPhone and put the songs from his iTunes library. It's not two-way syncing. So don't worry about the songs that are on the iPhone right now it will eventually be deleted.

Now just incase you want to have copy of the songs from the iphone to be save into ur computer. Try Sinuti. I don't now if ipodRip works with the iphone. Haven't tried it yet. Try to google those 2. They are free downloads.
