Bookmarks/Notes before updating?

Anyway I can save my bookmarks and notes so they won't disappear after updating?

Can you be more specific? Updating to what? If you're referring to the Safari update, your bookmarks will be automatically saved with the new new version. Notes, I don't really understand… Please give us more details of your issues.

If you're talking about your notes in iPhone, it's automatically backed-up every time you sync with iTunes. After you update/restore you will be asked if you want to restore that backup.

Yup, just sync with iTunes to save all settings and bookmarks and notes etc etc. Then exactly what markcas just said.

Sometimes, it's not adviseable to restore from an itunes backup after an update, depending on what version you came from and what unlock method was used. In this case, you can manually back-up the notes and bookmarks before updating by using SSH.

For firmware version 1.1.3 and 1.1.4:

Bookmarks are located at
/private/var/mobile/library/Safari


Notes is located at
/private/var/mobile/library/Notes


For version 1.1.2 and below, just replace the mobile directory so you would be going to:

Bookmarks
/private/var/root/library/Safari

Notes
/private/var/root/library/Notes
