Blackberry Internet service on an Iphone 3G
Good day to all and I'm a new convert to the apple environment and just enjoiying it pretty well. I have a question though, is there in any way that my blackberry Internet service be operational on an Iphone? In particular the push email. Your inputs would be highly appreciated

i agree with the protocol issue, it might be a bit different. BIS+Email Server+network+phone, it should run something like that.

I agree with you. I tried the push email option and doesn't seem to register with the BIS. Is there any solution to this?

I actually is using a Blackberry 8100 and under Smart BES. I'm thinking of trying in transferring my sim to my iPhone. Let's see what it does? The thing is the Blackberry Service is i think attached to the IMEI of your phone. So whether you move it to another phone it won't work.
I have another Blackberry and I sed my Smart sim. It didn't work. Hehe! Just sharing.

No. Both BIS and BES won't work on the iPhone 3G.
This is b/c there is no BlackBerry Connect for this.

If you use BIS on your Blackberry, then the corresponding service on the iPhone would be MOBILEME.
If you use BES, then there is no option yet to port it to the iPhone.
