    daveflorendo, was the preference settings of the backlight in your ipod accidentally changed perhaps?

    nope.. i've tried making kalikot the settings pero it's not working pa din

    Oooh.. sorry to say but I think it's a hardware problem hence can only be solved by real technicians. Normally, if it were just a software glitch a hardware override from plugging in the external cable would make the iPod at least light up.

    Prepare your receipt and take a scoot over to the nearest Apple store nearest you. Your issue can't be fixed here in this forum.

    dang! i bought this in the states... and it doesnt have a protection plan.. :upset:

    Actually, iPods are covered by INTERNATIONAL 1 year warranty so it doesn't matter where you bought it, but WHEN you bought it? Just bring the receipt.

    If the product is beyond the initial year, then that's just that... Personally I don't feel an inclined to get APP for an iPod as well so c'est la vie.
