    Default Apple Warranty Question

    Hey guys

I've a question about apple's warranty. My brother's shuffle recently displayed the fatal green- orange lights problem and i really cant find a fix to this anywhere. Only solution I can really come up with is just to return it.

Thing is, he got the shuffle in Colorado. So can he have it warrantied at a local apple center? It should still be under the 1 year warranty since he got it in August.

Hope you guys can help me out!

    Thanks!

You could double check the serial# in the apple support page to check the warranty.

If its still covered by warranty you could bring it to any local apple center for it to be

checked. Pls don't forget to bring your receipt as this is important. I have read threads in

here that some people had a hard time claiming warranty w/o showing proof of purchase.

i got my ipod photo in the states 1 day it just had a folder with a (!) mark, apple greenbelt changed it when my brother e mailed the order form from the site we got it at. they changed it right away, well maybe after 2 weeks not right there and then. always keep the receipt but since it was a gift that is a problem, hope they give you a break but i have doubts.

If this is so then I don't see why an Apple Service Center would turn down this warranty claim. The sooner you bring it the better.
