Another SMS problem from Locked Home Screen
Hi all,
I'm not sure if this has been discussed before but from my search I've only seen two different SMS problem in an iPHone (1) garbled SMS text for older firmwares, and (2) can't open SMS app (or crashes).
Mine is different as I've only noticed this when I am roaming, or at least I think it does until I confirm when I get home.
Here goes...I have a Malaysian SIM Digi on my iPhone and have my iWorld set to Malaysia. I tried to use DarkCast's AppSupport hack but the only one that worked was the Philippine mobile number hack (shows and matches Philippine #s correctly). Everything works fine when I was in Malaysia I can receive text and see a queue of text messages and missed calls on my home screen. Now that I'm in a business visit to Chennai my iPhone's SpringBoard restarts everytime I get a 2nd SMS without opening/unlocking the screen to view the first one yet. I tried to set it to India but it will have problem (2) above.
Anyone having this experience? Especially those that has roaming...I'm just guessing this may be a conflict for Malaysian roaming SIMs.

Re: Another SMS problem from Locked Home Screen
yung hack 1.1.2 appsupport ni DarckCast is intended for the Philippines
did you try to use iWorld only without DarkCast's appsupport?

Re: Another SMS problem from Locked Home Screen
yep, I only used the PhoneBook hack and the service provider plist. AppSupport doesn't work (or crashes) when roaming or using non-Philippines SIM.

Re: Another SMS problem from Locked Home Screen
The AppSupport I posted was specifically made for iPhone users in the Philippines. I think I mentioned this in my previous posts. If you wan to use your phone elsewhere, you would have to do some tweaking on the AppSupport to accommodate the country you want. By default there are only 8 countries supported. Malaysia is not one of those countries. China is.
iWorld can be used as a temporary fix to prevent the crashes.

Re: Another SMS problem from Locked Home Screen
@DarkCast, I may not have been clear on my previous post but I didn't install the modified AppSupport - for the very reason that you said. The other hacks in your package worked for me: PhoneBook and plist files (when used with my roaming SIM).
