Default 4th gen ipod or ipod photo?

I have a 2nd gen 10gb ipod, and I'm thinking of upgrading. What would you go for—a 20gb ipod or a 40gb ipod photo?

Well if you can afford 40GB iPod Photo why not? But if budget is a concern I'd go for the 20GB 4th gen and have spare cash for accessories (which can easily match the price of one iPod... body masks, car accessories, retractable cords, better earphones, etc.).

Yup, budget is the first consideration. Then it also depends on your usage. If you do have a lot of photos you want to take around and share, then the choice is obvious! But Kelvin's suggestion makes a lot of sense too.

Do you really have any use for the ipod Photo? As earlier pointed out, are you into anything that would require you to carry pictures?? Budget allocation is only a matter of need and function. You might want it, but you don't need it. On that note, only you can answer that........:wound:
.....now between another brand of mp3 player and the ipod, i guess we all know the answer to that.:roll::roll:

I agree! If you can afford it go for the iPod photo. I'd do the same thing if I had money to spare. If the absence of a colored screen and the ability to store photos won't bother you then settle for the 20GB, that's what I have and it serves its purpose pretty well.

    Goodluck!

Actually, I don't really need to bring lots of photos around. Kakaaliw lang. Hehe

    Cost's a big consideration too!

Grr, it's so hard to decide! I might end up not buying anything after all of this. Haha. Thanks for the input though... I'm gonna sleep on this before I go break the bank!

Here's something to think about in favor of the iPod photo.

Since you are upgrading why not go for the iPod photo. After all the 4Gen 20Gb does almost everything your 2Gen can?

You can also ask yourself do I need it or do I just want it.

is lack of storage the problem ? or you just want to have the latest iPod ? how much are you using your old iPod these days ?
If you dont need tons of music to carry around maybe the convenience of a smaller iPod is better. Maybe go for the mini or even the shuffle ... save the money for your Mac next upgrade instead
