Default 3G, 16GB iPhones in November?

Leaked T-Mobile ad from Germany features iPhone with 3G capabilities and 16GB of memory. Price is 499 Euros (687 USD). LINK.

It's not just simple 3G though... It's 3.5G!! I don't read German, but there's something in that ad which says UMTS+HSDPA! Hooray! I've been holding off subscribing to Globe Visibility, but if they will offer that here with the iPhone as the HSDPA phone, then I'm in!

Looks like my planned iPod Touch purchase will have to be indefinitely delayed.

hmmm... I'm a bit confused. The UMTS+HSDPA definitely refers to the iPhone but how come the 16Gb part specifically says "Apple iPod 16Gb"? Anyone who can read German here?

Hmmm...quite confusing. But we might be in for a surprise eventually come November. Or the word iPhone is not possible to use in Germany (for some licensing/patent issues), that is why they market it as "Apple iPod 16Gb". LOL.
I missed you by 20 years, but I have now a lifetime to catch up...

Most likely a typo error with the "Apple iPod 16GB". I'm sure they were referring to the iPhone. Unless of course the new Apple iPod 16 GB (Touch??) will come with 2.0 Megapixel Camera, Mobile surfing and mail with HSDPA, and visual voicemail??

Imagine opening the Inquirer and finally seeing a Globe print ad that looked like the one above.

Can you imagine how our phone-crazy country will respond when they finally launch the local version? These things will be flying off the shelves.

When that happens, I hope Globe and Smart won't use the hype to jack up prices. That 499 Euro (P31,900) pricing for a 16 GB iPhone seems affordable already, considering that early adopters shelled out P35k for a non-3G, non-HSDPA, 8GB version.
