so just update your touch!
i already tested it!
and it connects instantly! YAHOO!

after i update my FW the wifi worked like magic!
the moment i pressed wifi on
the wifi logo instantly appears! ^^

Re: 2g Ipod Touch wifi problems SOLVED! @bluefire: Plug in the iPod into you computer using the USB synch cable. After a few moments it should appear as a device in iTunes. Under the summary page, in "version" there's a button labelled "Check for Updates". Click on that and the update process should begin, assuming you're connected to the internet.
