    Hi.

My advice is for you to visit our sister site podcentral.ph for your non-Mac, iPod queries.

This is PhilMUG you're in. We are the Philippine Macintosh Users Group.

    Thanks.

    Hi.

Ipods, altho they're not macs, are still made by apple. So I think littlepitboy's query would still qualify as an apple, ipod query.

That being said, I agree with you, visiting podcentral may prove to be more fruitful for him.

Isn't this the iPod forum section of the PhilMUG site?

There is a PC version and a Mac Version of iTunes. Use what is appropriate. Note that iTunes requires Windows 2000, or XP. It doesn't work with 9x/Me Windows.

    Both can be found here:

    http://www.apple.com/itunes/

podcentral.ph is a forum that focusses on the iPod, but you're welcome to visit this site to learn more about Apple's other products.

Garage Band, used to produce Music that may be sold on the iTunes Music store is an Apple product.

You may also wish to check often ahead of next year's release of Apple's Intel based Macs.

While they include OS X, Apple Macs will be similar to PC hardware and are expected to be able to run PC operating systems natively (as dual boot computers).

Not to say we can't or refuse to help, but PC related iPod queries are best posted in podcentral.ph. This iis exactly the reason why we have them as a sister site.

FYI, podcentral.ph is owned by Microwarehouse, but operated by PhilMUG.

    Thanks.

to add, you can use two ipods on 1 computer.. just make sure that formatted filesystem of the ipod is the same as the filesystem of the computer. So if the ipod is mac formatted, it's advisable to attach to a mac machine. Same with your windows PC. Although it will still work if you use a windows PC, just make sure you don't update it if you use a mac formatted ipod..

Also, make sure to set your ipod to manual update rather than automatic synchronization.
