1st gen iphone or e71? help me decide :D
hi everyone,
would want your help and opinion regarding which is a "better" phone for everyday use. i know that the 2 phones are in different class and have their pros and cons.
the more freewares and applications the merrier!
if you were to choose, which one will you get?
more details,
iphone, 2nd hand from a friend who rarely uses it. palagi lang naka stand by. its his 2nd phone. 8gig. prestine condition.
e71, most probably brand new, current price range here in Beijing is 16800 pesos give or take.

Don't forget that the 1st gen iPhone is NOT a 3G device, unlike the 3.5G E71. If you ever wish to connect your phone to a computer to get internet over the air, get the E71. Apple doesn't even allow you to tether the iPhone to a computer to get an internet signal.
Moreover, it would be a mistake to underestimate the number of useful S60 apps out there. The iPhone is definitely a much better multimedia device, but for overall office productivity and email, the E71 is worth looking into.

i know that the 2 phones are very different to start with. what are my needs/ i go to meetings once in a while with clients, madalas planner and pen or eee900 ang dala ko for taking down notes.
basically my mobile phone is a luxury device hehe right now i just want to get a bang for the buck phone.
the cons na nakikita ko sa iphone is battery, and i think it is difficult to text.
for e71 naman, camera, but im not buying a phone for the camera naman eh.
anyone here na naka e71? marami bang freewares? and how about the OS?

Try borrowing your friend's iphone for a day then you can try texting with it as well as its multimedia features. Then go to a store where you can also try out the E71. Pics and feeback from others is just not enough, it's always better to hold it in your hands and tinker with it before deciding. Goodluck.

the battery life is iPhone's number one downer. If you're always on the move and doesnt like to carry around a charger, go for the e71. Starting to miss my e61i coz of its 2 days batt life compared to my iPhone 3G's 1 day batt life..
