16GB 3G iPhone in 2008?

now that they surprisingly launched the 16gb iPhone with few people expecting it... and add to that the candid admission of AT&T top honchos late last year that they are getting 3G iPhones sometime in 2008, i guess it's safe to predict or expect we will finally see the 16gb and 3G iPhone out this year?

it would be kinda dumb if they only put the 3G into a 8gb iPhone, not unless there would be hardware limitations that would only allow it to be added to the 8gb for this year... only the super techs would know

all i am waiting for is the 16gb 3G iPhone and its goodbye nokia...

I don't want to burst your bubble, but don't get excited to throw away your good old Nokia phone if and when the 3G 16GB iPhone comes out. Chances are, Apple will release a new firmware and bootloader alongside its release. That will mean it will render present unlocking and jailbreaking methods inoperable.... That will mean you may only enjoy a 3G 16GB iPhone that totally perfectly operates in the Philippines not until 2009. But that depends on whether a wise unlocking and jailbreaking method will come out by then.

Better wait for a Philippine release of the iPhone. But up till now it is still something that's in the air (pardon the pun).

Even if there is a 3G iPhone, it still won't be functional in our country (Due to Different Frequencies). If there would be an Asian release of a 3G iPhone then it would be something, really something to wait for...

I agree, our 3g speeds is far far from that of Japan. Ours is turtle slooooooow.

I dropped by powermac center in powerplant. They said that the asian version is coming march/april this year.
