    I am just wondering what are the options available for the PCI slots we have in our desktops.

    PATA/SATA/SCSI controllers? RAID controllers? If the iMac had enough grunt & memory slots as a PowerMac most users would go for that instead.

    I filled up two slots for USB 2 cards. I thought the first card didn't work, so I got another one. In total I have 5 USB ports in 2 PCI slots. I only needed one for my Coolscan V ED.

    how does this one look?

    anyways, for the pci sata controllers, does it also have a master/slave config?

    looks exactly like this...

    and quite effective in cooling things up especially with most of my pci slots filled up, reduces core cpu temp (according to software sensors) by at least 2-3 degrees.

    You no longer need to setup master/slave configurations on a serial ata bus.

    @HAL9000

    so, it will only be 1:1 ratio for sata drive and controller?

    where did you buy the case cooler? how much?

    @sir Adel

    are the firewire ports 400 or 800?
