Default Use It Dont Abuse It

Just want to share some of my experiences using a Mac....
Mac is a tool, Use it. A friend, LoVe it.

Some users tend to abuse the Mac then they complain its slow and hanging at times =) (true di ba?)

Avoid installing applications that may cause problems. Always read the ReadME file before installing (Kaya nga ReadME muna e.. hay!) If you cant help it and you want to install, just remember the last thing you did to your Mac so that you can fix it by uninstalling the last application or delete the file installed. (Make sense?)

Most Graphic Artists want all applications to be opened at the same time... (umamin) This slows down the Mac (lalu na kung Photoshop ang nakaLoad... it also eatsUp harddisk space. It would also help to restart paminsan-minsan to refresh the RAM)

Avoid loading toooo many fonts.... one damage font can hang a Mac.

RAM --> you can never have enough!!!!

HardDisk. When you are constantly copying and deleting files. After sometime, your harddisk get defragmented. Format your Mac once a year.
(BackUp mo muna yung files HA?!!) hehehe

(some may agree, some may disagree.... well, that's called democracy)
Basta whatever Mac You are using, we're all in the same team.
    to be continued........

    hello pengski,

Just a bit of advice. Here at PhilMUG, we try to avoid the following:
    1. ALL CAPS - this is the online equivalent of shouting.
    2. TXT Lingo - please take a little effort to spell your words properly and fully. This is for the benefit of the rest of us who have a hard time deciphering text lingo.

    Maraming salamat.

Txt language isn't only in the Philippines, if I may add... check this article out:

Sufficely to say, there's a time when something would be appropriate, and I tend to agree with elbertc that this isn't one of these times. After all, we're in a computer screen and there's no charge for additional characters anyway (I don't even abbreviate in text messages) because it's awful hell trying to read it (especially when in a hurry).

hi. i just noticed how the topic has been diverted. unintentionally, of course, and with good reason, and it has taught us something, and the thread is too young for me to declare that it has gotten off topic, like, irretrievably. interesting lang. (peace!)

i'm guilty of some of those things, pengski. but now i'm so much more cautious. and it's a good thing i don't have to install any peripheral drivers anymore. it's true, really. although the mac can stand better abuse than windows, still, abuse pa rin yon.
