USB 2.0 PCI card drivers for Panther
I bought a USB 2.0 PCI Hub card for a PC.
It has an AVI chip on it and no drivers for OSX.
Any ideas how to make this thing work in my 867 PowerMac quicksilver ??
Cheers,

To answer myself, I took the plunge, plunked down a whopping 400 smackers and got an el Cheapo generic PC USB 2.0 PCI card with a VIA chipset with only Windows drivers, installed it on my 867 Desktop and it got recognised as a high speed USB. Q.E.D.
Thing is now, I have to get something that uses USB 2.0 !!!

Just to update you on this,
Yup, on my QuickSilver, it got recognised alright, as an Apple branded card and high speed USB bus ...
After all this time, when I finally tried a LaCie USB 2.0 3.5" External HD, it would not mount. The LED lights up but it does not flicker. It mounted on the USB 1.0 Mac ports. I tried plugging a mouse into the USB 2.0 card and it did not work.
Tried it on my friend's G3 B&W G4 550 upgrade desktop, & the same, recognised but when he plugged his generic 2.5" USB 2.0 external HD, it did not mount.
This card comes with a VIA (not AVI) chipset and from the VIA website, there is no support for the Mac, no drivers etc.
So now I am stuck with 2 cards, I got an extra one pa !!! So if anybody knows how to best sort this out, I am all ears !!!
...or knowing my luck, these 2 USB 2.0 PCI cards are for sale to any PC owners there, cheap !!
Oh well, that's the breaks. !!
