Mac Mini vs the other side's cheapo Wintel alternative

On a practical note, I have an iMac G4 700 and an AMD K6-4 1.4ghz windows computer and the kids avoid the wintel machine like a virus, but fight over the use of the iMac...nevermind if their favorite games are in the wintel...they just got tired of dealing with the every-now-and-then problems of windows.
