LCD Brightness Control

Is there a way to set my LCD brightness control numerically? A 3rd party control panel maybe? the slider just doesn't cut it kse... i had to set the brightness to about "2/5" across (not very accurate, diba?) to calibrate it to our proofer and imagesetter... help naman
