IMAC G5 for FCP5

HI! anyone here tried editing FCP4 or FCP5 on an IMAC G5. I'm thinking of buying the 20 inch.
Is it fast? how many ram?

My 2 cents,

I dunno about FCP since I use iLife 05 on both a PB and a IMac G5.

What I can definetely tell you is that running ANYTHING on the G5 is loads faster when I'm applying effects/transitions to movies I imported from my Handycam.

The more RAM, the better. I'm using 1Gb on the iMac. The faster Hard Drives on the iMac also keeps things moving along quite briskly than my PB.

To summarize, the PB can do everything the iMac can, but the iMac makes things easier and faster. The 20" screen also has great real-estate and better color rendition.
