Default How do I restore the \'brand new\' whiteness of the iMac G4

Bianca, my first Mac (she's an iMac G4 Superdrive) turns 2 next week. Unfortunately, she's turned into a dust magnet and her once pearly white sheen is now a dull gray.

What's the best cleaner out there in the market? I've tried alcohol free baby wipes but that doesn't seem to get most of the dust off.

Any suggestions? Wish there was a Mac Spa I can send Bianca for her 'birthday'.

Where do you get iCream? Any local counterpart product? Does MC Cleaner work?

@games also used to carry radtech's ice cream over in virra mall. saw it before though it really won't take out all of the scratches, used it on my brother;s ibook before he sold it. most of the small scratches were still visible. But still, the ibook looked a lot cleaner when i got thru with it.

    Default Try this

Based on previous suggestions also by the longer mac users.

Use the Staedler eraser (white one) available in National Book Store.

Simply erase away the dark/dust color in your ibook. Do it gently of course...

Try Wipeout! Ace hardware has it.

Whoa! Careful with wipeout. That stuff's pretty agressive! I just use a slightly damp microfiber to clean my iBook, then follow-up with around 2 layers of Zaino Z2.

Er, aren't you asking for suggestions on how to clean you iMac?

The material of the iMac is a lot different from the iBook (remember the iMac has a matte finish). Being a former iMac owner I would suggest using a worn-out toothbrush for taking out the embedded dirt on the body (use a 40-60 combination of alcohol and water as your cleaning solution). Cover the holes and any other gaps that the solution might drip into with tape. Use the cleanser sparingly and remember to wipe the solution off before it dries.

Clean the swivel-and-tilt arm with ordinary pranela. Those blue oil control sheets are perfect for taking out fingerprints on the metal arm and smudge marks on the LCD screen.

    Enjoy!!
