Generic USB Keyboards
Just a question guys... will any generic USB keyboard work with the mac? Are they plug and play even though they say that they are only PC compatible? I need a temporary keyboard and i dont want to spring for an expensive one.
BTW are all webcams that are usb plug and play as well for the Mac? Hope you can help me here!
Thanks!

No, they're not. I had quite a time trying to make my Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000 (P4,300.00 at Villman). But then again, if you decide to get this cam, you just need to view and follow the steps in this thread to make it work. Worked for me.

Well, the cheap-o Chicony USB keyboard I got for P400 worked very well with my Mac. It replaced the standard iMac-type small keyboard I had which I found to be very stiff. The only thing you have to watch out for is the placement of the Command and Option keys. On a standard PC 105-key keyboard, the Windows key acts as the command key and the Alt key as the option key, but their physical positions are reversed. There's free software you can use to remap them, though.
