G-RAID or MiniG?
Which external drive is better--the new MiniG or the G-RAID from G-Technology? Thanks.

Re: G-RAID or MiniG?
I am using 2 units of G-Raid 800GB for a year now for backup storage of our servers at the office. For me, it's performance so far is average.... the front light is blinking when you are coping something... well, the fan is annoying.
I will be upgrading our servers this coming weeks from Mac OS X Server (10.3) to Mac OS X Server (10.4). I will also be trying 2 units of Mini-G 600GB 2 Bay External Drive for a change. It looks like a small G5 desktop =) I just hope its good as it looks.

Re: G-RAID or MiniG?
I recommend G-RAID but it is more expensive than a miniG.
word of advice for all external drive users:
I have tried many external drives in the past....
all have the same problem.... its poor power connection at the back.
Be sure that the power connection of your external drive
is not forced by the weight of the power adapter... put your
power adapter at the level where your drive is placed.
By doing this, you're not forcing the connector at the back.
ang gulo ba? basta ingatan nyo na lang yung connection ng
power of your external drive.

How about if you use it for video editing? capturing raw files and editing.
