ethernet config

just got the emac 1.25 and got a subscription for destiy cable. they gave me a castlenet modem. anyone know how i can config the emac to link up with this modem? can't seem to do so. thinking instead of getting a AX base station to solve my problem.

welcome to PhilMUG.

destiny is on DHCP, so just set your network preference to automatic and plug the ethernet cable straight into your e-mac's ethernet port. it's supposed to be that simple.

I'm planning to convert to MAC but have an existing destiny account. Do I still need to have my motorola cable modem changed? Is EvoDSL better than destiny?

There's no need to get the modem replaced. It'll work with any Mac.
