Result: A working eMac for a little bit more than the cost of a 17" LCD, and a machine that is 30 pounds lighter and consumes less electricity.
Remember to heed the warning at the top of the page:
CRTs can hold a charge in the thousands of volts. They act as a capacitor, and can hold this charge for days, even if the computer has not been plugged in. This charge can kill you.
Discharge your CRT properly, or get a trained monitor technician to remove the CRT.

I have an imac dv with broken analog board and i dont know what to do with it today until this thread came out. Very nice find.
but how much it will cost if i gonna buy an 15lcd monitor today? any suggestion? If its gonna be more than 10k, i might not do the convertion. Mabebenta pa ba ang imac na tulad nang sa akin?

Most 15" LCD monitors are below 10T. Check with Villman or PCX or OpenPinoy. It is important to choose a 15" LCD that:
1) will fit in the opening in the front of the iMac case.
2) uses a 12V supply (you don't want an LCd that has an integrated 220V power supply).
