    Default display for the mini

    hi!

some people i know are choosing between the mini and an emac - with the mini having a slight advantage because of apple care. what i'd like to ask is what's a good display? (except for the apple cinema display, still a bit over budget) are there 2nd hand apple displays being sold?

    thanks in advance

You can get almost any display that fits your budget. Even regular monitors will work. What's your budget?

Since the mini comes shipped with a VGA adapter, you could plug ANY monitor into it. I'm not too well versed with monitors, but I do know that Samsung makes great, well-priced displays, that is if you don't want to pay the premium for an Apple Cinema Display.

Ynzal has a pre-owned Cinema Display in stock, you might want to check them out. You could also try posting a LF ad in our marketplace.

BTW, both eMac and Mac mini are supposed to come with APP.

At home, I am using this cheapo CRT that I got in a shop in Park Square 1 for only 6,500. Great thing is, its a 19 inch!

Brand is ACETech. Its not flat screen or anything high tech. Its just plain BIG!

Ignorant question, but can you connect a Mini-Mac into a Plasma Display? I have neither, but I'm curious...

Also, is there a maximum allowable LCD size for the display of the Mini-Mac?

I'm sure you can connect it to a plasma screen since most models have VGA input out of the box. Not too sure about the maximum LCD size though, but I wouldn't be surprised if it can drive the Apple 23" @ its native resolution. Better check specs just to be sure
