    Default CD Drive lens cleaning

Is there a way to clean the lens of DVD drives? It seems that my old superdrive is still okay on burning data but not dvd videos. I've heard in-dash CD car stereos are cleaned after a while...will this work on aging CD drives?

I also notice an error -36 on reading some DVD disc. An input/output error maybe?

The DVD/CD lens cleaners (CD type) oughta work. For added security, just buy the "dry" version. I don't think liquid and SuperDrives are meant for each other, hehe.

You're right. Error -36 is an IO error. Either the discs are dirty/scratched or the DVD drive's lens needs cleaning. ;-)
