i got the info here.. http://www.apple.com/macmini/specs.html. it only indicates DIMM.

Oh well, this confuses me I am planning to get myself a mini soon. All the while I'm thinking I can use my extra dimm's. If the mini uses so-dimms then I should think of getting some extra budget for the memory upgrade

All Intel Macs (except for the Mac Pro) use DDR2 667 SO-DIMMs.

the info on the Apple website is definitely incorrect, I just upgraded an Intel Core Solo Mac Mini a while ago and it uses SODIMMs... just remember, the G4 PowerPC Mac Mini uses DDR333 or DDR400 DIMMs, the Intel Mac Mini uses DDR2-667SODIMMs.

agree with mark. not all written in apple website is correct. remember the Powermac Beige G3 memory capacity? According to apple, the beige G3 can only have a maximum of 384 MB memory (3X128 MB). Well, they were wrong, it can handle 3X 256 MB for a total of 768 MB.

Intel Mac Mini, MacBook, MacBook Pro all use DDR2 667 MHz SO-DIMMS. In fact I just sold my two 512 MB sticks to an Intel Mac mini user when I upgraded my MacBook's memory to 2 GB.
