The company I'm working with is currently in the process of getting rid of some old servers and consolidating its contents to either a NAS appliance or to a direct-attached storage.

Will Apple's XServer work with non-apple servers?

How much is the 1TB Xserve locally?

I'm thinking that this is a great opportunity for me to put some "class" on the MS-centric network I'm working with.
