Wonder how they'll differentiate it from the iMac if it switches to built-in LCD. Probably integrated graphics. Maybe an extra tough coating for the screen to deal with loads of kids using them.

I wonder if they'll keep the boxy design of the previous emac or surprise us again with another original "mac only" design.

Interesting. But isn't the release date too late since by fall, most educational institutions would have bought their equipment? (school starts in early September in the US, and fall usually begins late september)

I wouldn't mind getting one of these for my kids. Hopefully,
the prices will be reasonable.

I think it's a dreadful idea. Hope Apple keeps it exclusive to the educational market.
