    Default ADB to USB converter?!

    Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if I can purchase locally a converter so that I can use my old Powermac 7300's keyboard and mouse w/ the iMac?

I really liked the old ADB Apple Keyboards as they were big, heavy and felt really good to work with.

yes, there is such an animal--i have one somewhere, a keyspan USB adapter with 2 ADB ports i got in new york for $79 four years ago. i used it not for th ekeyboard but for my stylewriters. (sorry, not for sale.) i did see an ADB-to-USB adapter in ynzal's last sale a few weeks ago, so you might want to call them at 373-2232 to inquire.

    Thank you kind sir...

I was doing some more reading and some sites mention that the PC's PS/2 and the ADB are similar, so if I can get the more easily available PS/2 to USB converter, I can probably get it to work.

Will still inquire at Ynzal tomorrow.

ps/2 and ADB are indeed similar, but the similarity is where it ends they have different pins.

    I'm ok with that.
I have checked eBay and prices vary, some sell them for $79 while some as low as $45 but shipping costs is not yet included.

    That's what I mean... US$45 = P2,245.00.

Not really worth pursuing the ADB keyboard idea right?

Money better spent buying Homeworld 2 or something.. hope ya understand. I don't blame you though... these mac stuff get's pricey if you add all the doodads and whatchamaccallits.
