if you want a mac clone for less, buy an apple tv for $229. hacks are available on the net, which would allow you to jailbreak it, leaving you with what is essentially a mac mini for half the price. maybe not twice the memory, but at least you won't violate the leopard license because, well, you're installing it on an apple-branded computer! and if you don't need leopard, apple tv is already tiger inside.
besides, if we wanted clones, we'd still be on windows!
I tried going to their site, but this is all I get:
I hear Apple's lawyers have been shopping for BMWs
Mid-2011 iMac 21.5 Core i5 2.5 Quad | Mid-2011 MBA 13 | Mid-2012 Macbook Pro Retina | Lenovo K900 | Google NEXUS 7 | Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 | Sony NEX 7 | Olympus OMD-EM5 kentama-yooooooo!
It is not really that cheap when you count in Leopard and iLife.
$399 - Clone
$ 129 - Leopard
$ 79 - iLife 08
$607 - Total vs $599 Mac mini
Unless you pirate Leopard and iLife.
A critical feature it has that mini doesnt is the ability to upgrade the Video Card.
Just for that, i think loads of people are gonna buy it.
Problems might arise in the future during Software Update when apple decides to add something that might make this clone non-functioning.
Any news from longbeard, is he gonna sell it?
