    Default Problem with Albook powerblock?

    I've experienced a problem twice now and I thought I could get your input.

    Basically, very seldomly, the Powerbook charge light just turns off (and the PB won't charge), even if I connect and disconnect the AC adapter from the laptop.

    But disconnecting the AC adapter from the MAINS usually cures it and charges it again...

    This problem usually occurs when the PB is plugged in for a long time (e.g. left overnight, or simpyl left alone for a while)

    I found this url to have the exact same discussion regarding it, and would like a second opinion on the matter:

    you can home in on the related post with "stops charging" as the keyword

    //

    I'm basically considering resetting the PMU since I just got the machine and don't want to have it serviced if it's fixable right here, but I don't know if it's related at all.

    According to a section in
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=14449

    Over time, the settings in the Power Manager may become unusable, which can result in operational anomalies with the computer. Examples include not turning on, not waking from sleep, not charging the battery, or not seeing the AC Adapter, among others.

    What do you guys think?

    Anybody else experiencing the same problems? I hope its just a matter of resetting the PMU or replacing the powerblock...

    yes you can try resetting the PMU first, it usually solves many problems. or you can check out this site and see if your battery is included in the recall.

    good luck!
