Im getting my powerbook from US, do they cover the 3yr warranty as well?

All portable Apple product warranties are internationally-honored, I believe, as long as there is an official receipt for it.

Presuming you got AppleCare with your PowerBook, then yes, the warranty will be honored here as well.

you mean apple care is not standard or bundled with the powerbook purchased in the US? the local powerbooks we have all come with a 3yr warranty right? do they offer the same package?

afaik, no. you have to buy applecare separately in the US. the local "bundling" seems to be just that--a local promo.

oh... thanks guys... that's why it turned out cheaper... hehe.. btw, how much is an apple care locally and where is the best place to get one? is it cheaper if i buy it in the US, HK or locally?

I got my !5" AlBook SuperDrive with a 3 year warranty locally. Yes the warranty is a Philippines only promo by Singapore Apple. That is the reason why the price is a bit more expensive.
