    Default powerbook as television

    does anyone know what to do if i wanted to watch cabled television in my powerbook g4? any requirements? plugs or ram needed?

    The EyeTV 200 got pretty good reviews. Connects to your Mac via Firewire and lets you use your Mac as a DVR (digital video recorder).

    If am not mistaken, I think I saw one at the Apple Center in Megamall yesterday.

    You are not mistaken. I saw it there during the Discover iLife weekend and was technolusting after it. Only the fact that it cost 24 big ones stopped me from taking it home.

    I have not tested this myself but a VCR with an S-video port might do the trick.

    Hmmm... this is an interesting idea! Will a VCR have the same "make-up" as the EyeTV?

    maybe somebody who've tried using EyeTV can post a review here... for the benefit of those (me included) who are interested in buying one.
