The EyeTV 200 got pretty good reviews. Connects to your Mac via Firewire and lets you use your Mac as a DVR (digital video recorder).

If am not mistaken, I think I saw one at the Apple Center in Megamall yesterday.

You are not mistaken. I saw it there during the Discover iLife weekend and was technolusting after it. Only the fact that it cost 24 big ones stopped me from taking it home.

I have not tested this myself but a VCR with an S-video port might do the trick.

Hmmm... this is an interesting idea!
Will a VCR have the same "make-up" as the EyeTV?

Been eyeing the eyetv for quite some time now. Its made by Elgato Systems.

maybe somebody who've tried using EyeTV can post a review here... for the benefit of those (me included
) who are interested in buying one.
