    Default my first crash.

    phew.

i got my powerbook last tuesday. this is my first mac.

a few minutes ago, i got scared when the system started slowing down. the kind of effect that you get when you try to open too many programs, except that the only program i had on was safari. anyway, this happened when i tried making a sticky note. apparently, the program crashed, and a send error dialog was generated. i felt the area near the trackpad, and i noticed that it started getting hotter than normal.

what's interesting about this experience is that, after a while, the whole thing just resolved itself. damn, macs are good. i never could have done this with my PC. with PCs, no matter how long you wait, that's it for you. you'll just have to press reset or do a warm boot (or is it cold?).

i sure appreciate the fact that i didn't have to restart "chocnut" (my powerbook). chocnut's fine. her temperature's back to normal, and i'm happy.

My first crash was a memorable one.. was still using an iBook.. It was about a week after upgrading to jaguar when i got my first kernel panic.. *memories* and then another.. oh... and one last kernel panic for good measure.. after that.. things ran just fine.. I kept using Carbon Copy Cloner to backup.. and I only just recently reinstalled my albook.. felt bad.. it was cloned from my ibook so decided a fresh start was in order
