keyboard woes

I get really obsessive about keeping my powerbook clean... sometimes the cleaning goes a little too far. Last year, I was trying to get under the keys with a swab and a small paintbrush... seems like I pried it too hard that the F10 key came off. Luckily, the people at Apple Center put it back on for free.

Last week, I was doing my regular clean-up again when the Tab key came off! Thank God I was able to put it back on, but it's been pretty loose. (I have to press it the right way just to make sure it doesn't come off again).

Has this happened to anyone else?

yup. when i was using an ibook, i got so oc about the dust in between the keys. i accidentally popped the T and put it back. up to this day, it's still kinda crooked. it works but it's crooked.

try getting an iskin for your keyboard fpr your ibook/pb... it works :lol:

np!!! :lol: though you own a powerbook, the keyboard doesn't that get that dirty unlike the white keyboard of the ibook but still iskin is a plus

Today I got a bit paranoid when I found a dot of ink on one of my keys. Could have been from a pen or something. I dabbed a tiny bit of alcohol to get it off but was so scared that it might ruin the matte finish on the keys. I'm getting an iskin next. It is indeed a must for OC people like me.
