ebay has always been a good barometer of used mac prices...

    mint condition lombard 400

    used lombard 400 / 384 / 10gb

so that would put it anywhere from 7-17k... depending on hardware condition and upgrades received. hope this helps...

Do you think I can get away with selling it for 20K? or 19900 perhaps? If i think of how much was paid for that unit ???? And the upgrades???

We've bought several lombards both here and abroad for around 12-14T.

sad but true: laptops depreciate like anything. if you figure prices based on how much you paid for it, you might as well hold on to it till kingdom come (that's why i keep many of my old powerbooks). for example, a powerbook 5300ce cost almost $7,000 ca. 1996; today you can get it for less than $100 on ebay. unless you really need the money, keep it. if you want a quick sale, price it at 12K. the upgrades are just barely enough to make it run OS X, which is what the buyer will want with a G3.

20k is too much as you can buy a good ibook for practically the same price, if not lower... also considering the battery woes and the issue of compatibility with tiger... just my 5 peso opinion :sigh:

    Compatiblity with Tiger?

It doesn't work with Tiger. Period.

So that means there'll be a flood of Lombards out on eBay pretty soon.
